- Master gyroscope aiming set to Always On at a medium sensitivity. You can compete with players using claw grip.
- Early game – Get basic armor and at least one gun, then you can engage one-on-one. Don’t try anything reckless pre-loot.
- Throughout matches, analyze scenarios before rushing in. Calculated moves trump blind charges. TPP helps scout enemy numbers and locations. You won’t get ambushed if you track all foes in an area (excluding random bots).
- Escaping is an art – zig-zag sprints, slipping through windows, predicting sniper timing, moving cover-to-cover, using smoke as distraction. Improvise slippery maneuvers.
- Utilize throwables to control engagements. Example – flush enemies from buildings by tossing uncooked smoke grenades. They’ll flee expecting frags.
- Stay calm and think fast.
- Solid loot helps but isn’t everything. Have a decent AR+secondary+scope. Secondary can be SMG, LMG, sniper rifle or second AR. Find your sweet spot.
- Know attachments. I prefer quickdraw over extended mags.
- Practice sniping with DMRs first before graduating to bolts. They provide steady cover fire when you can’t land headshots. Use appropriate mods – compensators, cheek pads, vertical grips over suppressors and half grips on high recoil SKS. Quickdraw over extended mags on low recoil Mini14.
- Revive before killing. If no hope, inform team don’t risk it.
- Assess before rushing. Be realistic – SMGs likely lose 4v4 versus ARs. Don’t engage unwinnable fights.
- Gauge plane jumps. 20+ dropping same place? Avoid hot zones.
- With randoms, loot separately then meet up. Share loot and heals.
- Carry 2+ smokes. You’ll need them.
- Warm up in Arcade or Arena first. Hones reflexes before Classic.
- Default aim assist On? Turn off to improve. Troubles at first but boosts precision over time. Helps recoil control and long shots.
- Canted sights great on DMRs, bolt snipers, some ARs with fixed scopes. Easier to tap-to-use than tap-to-switch.
- Quality gameplay > kill counts. Survive, don’t just slay. Chicken Dinners > #10s > Early deaths.
- Stick together late circles. 2v4s rarely winnable.
- Don’t be Ace with K/D<1 and Damage<200. Squads need dependability, not liabilities.
- Most importantly, have fun and take risks. Analyze good and bad situations to steadily improve rating and win rate each season.
- The opening seconds of a match are critical. Your landing spot provides a major advantage. As a beginner, avoid crowded areas. Steer clear of large building clusters—too much competition.
- Instead, aim farther out at smaller settlements. You’ll still find essential loot and guns with fewer enemies. Start with spots like Gatka or Mylta.
- One initial mistake is engaging in combat right after landing. Hear nearby footsteps? Turn tail. They likely found weapons already. Avoid early fights.
- Exploring new zones, watch for activity clues. Open doors and missing ammo mean someone was there recently. Proceed with caution.
- Conversely, close doors when looting or hiding. It helps ambushes later.
- Shotguns seem weak at first glance. But for early close-quarters combat and hot drops, they excel. Perfect for clearing contested areas and chasing downed foes.
- Armor deteriorates with use. Keep swapping damaged plates even for lower level gear. Some protection beats none.
- Avoid reckless charges. Assess situations, select the right weapon, then engage intentionally. Rushed attacks often backfire.
- Determine your ideal gun through experience. When found, stick with it, even dropping seemingly better guns. Consistency breeds mastery.
- Scopes are game-changers. A 4x scope vastly improves long-range lethality. Prioritize scoping your weapons.
- Never run straight when taking fire. Zigzag erratically instead. Reaching cover takes longer but you’re much harder to hit.
- Crawl For Stable Shooting Guns like QBU and MK14 are more accurate prone. Crawl when shooting far or during ending circles.
- Keep Strafing While firing, continually strafe and avoid standing still. Side-to-side movement throws off enemy aim.
