Poké Balls
The most basic item. Poké Balls are needed to catch Pokémon. They can be obtained for free by visiting PokéStops, levelling up, or completing research. Standard Poké Balls provide the basic catch rate, while Great and Ultra Balls offer improved rates. To use, simply tap on a wild Pokémon and throw a Poké Ball by swiping on the screen.
Potions
Potions heal your Pokémon after gym battles. They come in various versions like Super, Hyper and Max, healing 50, 200, or fully restoring HP. You can get them from PokéStops, Gifts, and by defeating team leaders. Select a hurt Pokémon and use the potion from your inventory to restore their health.
Revives
Revives awaken fainted Pokémon. Standard Revives restore half HP, Max Revives fully. Obtain them the same as Potions. Revives are essential items for taking on difficult Raids and Gym battles where Pokémon faint. Use them to quickly get your best fighters back into the action.
Razz Berries
Razz Berries make Pokémon easier to catch by calming them down, increasing the odds of a successful capture. They are the most common berry found at PokéStops. Before throwing a Poké Ball, you can feed the Pokémon a Razz Berry by selecting it from the encounter screen. Use them sparingly on rare Pokémon.
Lucky Eggs
Lucky Eggs double your experience points earned for 30 minutes, helping you level up faster. Keep them for mass evolutions where you rapidly evolve many Pokémon for XP. Getting to a new level replenishes your energy. Obtain Lucky Eggs as level up rewards, from completing research, or by purchasing from the shop.
Incense
Incense attracts extra wild Pokémon to your location for 30 minutes. It works best when moving. Get incense from leveling up, research tasks, and gifts. Activating an incense creates a pink swirling effect around your trainer. Use incense when you want to catch Pokémon more frequently.
Lure Modules
Lure Modules work like Incense but attract Pokémon to a PokéStop for all nearby players. Add a lure to a PokéStop and pink confetti appears – signal that additional Pokémon will spawn. Lures last 30 minutes. Get them from leveling up and buy from the shop. Use them with others to maximize wild spawns.
